Sea Breeze Caldereta de Lagosta

The rich orange broth reminded me of afternoons by the harbor, where fishermen would return with their catch and everyone gathered around to hear stories before dinner. The pot arrived at the table still whispering steam into the air, carrying the smell of the sea with it. Someone always tore pieces of old bread into the bowl to soak up every drop, while laughter, gossip, and music drifted through the house. The sweet lobster meat, the garlic, the tomatoes, and the saffron came together like an old family song, simple, comforting, and full of sabor. “Ay dios mio”, this is the kind of meal that makes people stay at the table long after the last spoonful is gone.

“Don’t hurry this pot. The lobster cooks the stew, but patience finishes it.”
